Welcome to LANP Capital Region Dinner Meeting
We look forward to networking and engaging with you all as we learn about ENDARI!
We will continue the Political Action Committee (PAC) Raffle with tickets 1/$5 and 3/$10 supporting state legislators that support removal of barriers to NP practice and promote improving patient access to quality health care. Please set up recurring donations
Our community service project will support Friends of the Animals Adoption House (FOTABR.ORG). Since 2010, the mission has been to rescue, re-home and save as many dogs as possible. Please support this worthy cause by donating any of the following: collars, leashes, dog beds, toys, treats such as nylabones and discovery toys, can and dry food (Nutrasource brand), and old sheets, towels, comforters
Please help us help you by increasing LANP Membership numbers by bringing a friend to dinner meetings or encouraging collages to join. There are over 6000 active NPs serving Louisiana and only ~1400 LANP NP members

With more than 30 years of experience as Assistant Professor of Nursing and over 5 years as Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certified, I have extensive background in the areas of Medical/Surgical Nursing, Oncology Nursing with an on-going focus on management and Symptoms management of cancer patients and Hematological Disorders. I have a Masters in Family Health Nursing (Care of Families throughout the lifespan); Instruction in Introduction to Professional Nursing (in class and online instruction), Adult Health/Medical/Surgical I (didactic and clinical), Psych/Mental Health, Population-Focused Nursing (Community Health) and Nursing Management instruction. Currently, as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I have several years experience in the Advanced Practice Nursing setting; as well as Prescriptive Authority within the State of Louisiana. I possess the skills necessary to interact with patients, as well as other clinicians in support of the care and treatment of disease processes, thereof. I also have experience with treating chronic medical problems of clients, as well as counseling and education to promote health behaviors; and modify risk factors in clients; participation in and support of health and wellness initiatives, health education and screening of patients across the lifespan. In addition to my experience, I take pride in the ability to cultivate excellent provider/nurse/patient (client) relationships; of being resourceful, adaptable, and self-motivated with highly developed communication skills and organizational abilities…and, I am a Jazz Singer!
